Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals (Norris City, IL), 52-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Gallatin County upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Hawks host Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL) to play the Cougars in a Greater Egyptian bout on Friday, January 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Hardin County lost 55-54 in their recent league bout against Pope County (Golconda, IL)

Next up, the Fighting Cardinals play the Galatia Bearcats (Galatia, IL) in a Greater Egyptian challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Norris City-Omaha-Enfield will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record.
