Minnesota High School Basketball - St. Mary's crushes Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop

St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds (Winthrop, MN), 88-64 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Knights host New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN) to play the Greyhounds in a A Section 2 bout on Friday, January 19. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 9-4. New Ulm Cathedral won 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against Loyola (Mankato, MN)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Wabasso Rabbits (Wabasso, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Rabbits go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 90-57 non-league loss to Springfield (Springfield, MN).
