Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Telfair County Trojans (McRae, GA) and the visiting Hawkinsville Red Devils (Hawkinsville, GA), saw Telfair County's basketball squad hold off Hawkinsville by a tally of 70-64.
With the victory, Telfair County improves its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Trojans host Bleckley County (Cochran, GA) to confront the Royals in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 19. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. Bleckley County lost 74-71 in their recent league challenge against East Laurens (East Dublin, GA)
Next up, the Red Devils confront the Treutlen Vikings (Soperton, GA) in a A D2 Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Hawkinsville will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 58-45 non-league win over Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA).
