The Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE) basketball nipped the visiting Kimball Longhorns (Kimball, NE), 49-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Panthers (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Perkins County (Grant, NE). The Plainsmen go into the C2 District 11 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Perkins County was tipped by Bridgeport (Bridgeport, NE), 68-53, in a non-league test.

The Longhorns now own a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chase County for a non-league test on Saturday, January 20. Kimball will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 67-20 non-league win over Sutherland (Sutherland, NE). The Longhorns record now stands at 6-7.
