Knoch Knights (Saxonburg, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA), 68-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Knoch upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Armstrong (Kittanning, PA) to play the River Hawks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The River Hawks come into the bout with a record of 8-6. Armstrong lost 73-62 in their recent league bout against Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA)

Next up, the Golden Rams play the Kiski Area Cavaliers (Vandergrift, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 39-36 league win over Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA).
