The South Lyon Lions basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Lakeland Eagles to 52 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mott for a Lakes Valley contest on Friday, January 19. South Lyon will battle a Corsairs team coming off a 56-48 league win over Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Corsairs record now stands at 11-3.

The Eagles (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights enter the Lakes Valley contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Walled Lake Northern was nudged by Kettering (Waterford, MI), 41-34, in a league contest.
