The North Pole Patriots basketball team (North Pole, AK), was overwhelmed 47-24 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK)

The Malemutes now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thunder Mountain for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 18. Lathrop will confront a Falcons team coming off a 70-54 non-league win over Chugiak (Chugiak, AK). The Falcons record now stands at 7-3.

The Patriots (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK). The Braves come into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Mt. Edgecumbe trounced Redington (Wasilla, AK), 70-34, in a non-league battle.
