The Long County Blue Tide basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Liberty County Panthers to 49 in the Blue Tide league victory on Tuesday.

The Blue Tide now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Groves for a AAA Region 3 contest on Friday, January 19. Long County will battle a Rebels team coming off a 65-64 league win over Johnson (Savannah, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 7-9.

The Panthers (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA). The Hornets come into the AAA Region 3 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Savannah Country Day was nudged by Beach (Savannah, GA), 42-31, in a league contest.
