Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wellman-Union Wildcats (Wellman, TX), 77-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Loop upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Longhorns travel to Klondike (Lamesa, TX) to play the Cougars in a 1A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 19. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-11. Klondike won 60-42 in their recent league bout against Sands (Ackerly, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Grady Wildcats (Lenorah, TX) in a 1A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, January 19. Wellman-Union will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 49-41 league loss to Sands (Ackerly, TX).
