The Midland Christian Mustangs (Midland, TX) basketball nipped the host Southwest Christian School Eagles (Fort Worth, TX), 52-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Mustangs (23-5) will now prepare for their bout against Liberty Christian (Argyle, TX). The Warriors go into the TAPPS 5A District 1 bout with a 9-17 record. In their last bout, Liberty Christian was edged by Southwest Christian School (Fort Worth, TX), 76-64, in a league bout.

Next up, the Eagles clash with the All Saints Saints (Fort Worth, TX) in a TAPPS 5A District 1 bout, on Friday, January 19. Southwest Christian School will attempt to upgrade on its 19-9 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 69-43 league win over Fort Worth Christian (North Richland Hills, TX).
