The Mitchell County Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Pataula Charter Academy Panthers to 30 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stewart County for a A D2 Region 1 contest on Friday, January 19. Mitchell County will meet a Royal Knights team coming off a 82-36 league loss to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA). The Royal Knights record now stands at 1-12.

The Panthers (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Calhoun County (Edison, GA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Calhoun County triumphed over Quitman County (Georgetown, GA), 84-40, in a league contest.
