Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter Imperials (Napoleon, ND) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Strasburg/Zeeland Clippers (Strasburg, ND), 64-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Imperials host Ellendale (Ellendale, ND) to play the Cardinals in a B District 2 bout on Saturday, January 20. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Ellendale won 61-44 in their recent league bout against LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (LaMoure, ND)

Next up, the Clippers play the South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] Mustangs (Wishek, ND) in a B District 2 battle, on Thursday, January 18. Strasburg/Zeeland will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 5-7 record after their 46-40 league win over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (LaMoure, ND).
