Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC) and the host North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC), saw Statesville's basketball squad overcome North Iredell by a tally of 83-74.
With the victory, Statesville improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Carson (China Grove, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 17. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Carson won 78-37 in their recent league challenge against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)
Next up, the Raiders confront the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a 3A Western Foothills challenge, on Friday, January 19. North Iredell will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 86-60 league win over West Iredell (Statesville, NC).

A great team win for the Hounds with Mack Davis leading the way, having 19 points, 8 steals, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists! Also, Je'Hahj Sherril also contributed with his astounding 20 points and 3 steals! Despite both Caleb Tillman and Tatum Tucker fouling out, they both contributed as well with Caleb having 14 points and 9 rebounds, and Tatum having 11 points and 8 rebounds! One who came up big in the 4th quarter and Overtime was Kevin Bryant! Kevin kept the momentum going for the hounds late in the game with 7 points and 2 clutch steals when needed!
