Orangewood Academy Spartans (Garden Grove, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting San Gabriel Academy Eagles (San Gabriel, CA), 69-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Orangewood Academy upgrades its record to 10-11 on the season. The Spartans host Pacifica Christian/Orange County (Newport Beach, CA) to play the Tritons in a San Joaquin bout on Thursday, January 18. The Tritons go into the bout with a record of 14-9. Pacifica Christian/Orange County lost 65-52 in their recent non-league bout against Central Catholic (Portland, OR)

Next up, the Eagles play the Fairmont Prep Huskies (Anaheim, CA) in a San Joaquin bout, on Thursday, January 18. San Gabriel Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 49-36 league win over Capistrano Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano, CA).
