Prince of Peace Eagles (Carrollton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Shelton Chargers (Dallas, TX), 64-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Prince of Peace upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Eagles host Covenant (Dallas, TX) to clash with the Knights in a TAPPS 4A District 2 bout on Friday, January 19. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Covenant won 64-59 in their recent league bout against Shelton (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Chargers clash with the All Saints Episcopal Trojans (Tyler, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 2 bout, on Friday, January 19. Shelton will attempt to upgrade on its 11-12 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 76-53 league loss to McKinney Christian Academy (McKinney, TX).
