The Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Valley Christian Warriors (San Jose, CA), 72-58 in Tuesday's league test.

The Fightin' Irish (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA). The Lancers go into the West Catholic test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Saint Francis went down by Serra (San Mateo, CA), 67-50, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Serra for a West Catholic test on Friday, January 19. Valley Christian will encounter a Padres squad coming off a 67-50 league win over Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA). The Padres record now stands at 11-4.
