West Texas Comanches (Stinnett, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX), 55-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, West Texas upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Comanches travel to Booker (Booker, TX) to play the Kiowas in a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Friday, January 19. The Kiowas come into the bout with a record of 12-7. Booker won 46-41 in their recent league bout against Stratford (Stratford, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 bout, on Friday, January 19. Sanford-Fritch will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a 11-11 record after their 70-29 league win over Sunray (Sunray, TX).
