With the win, Varela upgrades its record to 4-9 on the season. The Vipers travel to Braddock (Miami, FL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Braddock won 64-63 in their recent non-league bout against Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach, FL)

Next up, the Cobras play the TERRA Environmental (Miami, FL) in a 5A District 16 bout, on Monday, January 22. South Miami will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 68-61 non-league win over Ferguson (Miami, FL).
