Menlo School Knights (Atherton, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sacred Heart Prep Gators (Atherton, CA), 41-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Menlo School upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Knights host Hillbrook (San Jose, CA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Gators play the Half Moon Bay Cougars (Half Moon Bay, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Sacred Heart Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 42-18 league win over South San Francisco (South San Francisco, CA).
