Vista Grande Spartans (Casa Grande, AZ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 71-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vista Grande upgrades its record to 11-10 on the campaign. The Spartans host Cortez (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Colts in a 4A Black Canyon bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 3-8.

The Prospectors now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Cortez for a 4A Black Canyon test on Thursday, January 18. Apache Junction will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 69-19 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Colts record now stands at 2-8.
