Georgia High School Basketball - Appling County thwarted by Vidalia

The Appling County Pirates basketball team (Baxley, GA), dropped 59-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA)

The Indians now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Toombs County for a AA Region 3 battle on Friday, January 19. Vidalia will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-30 league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-9.

The Pirates (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last outing, Claxton was topped by Screven County (Sylvania, GA), 69-29, in a league outing.
