With the victory, Aransas Pass upgrades its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mathis (Mathis, TX) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge on Friday, January 19. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 2-20. Mathis lost 47-26 in their recent league challenge against George West (George West, TX)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 10-15 record after their 51-7 league win over Odem (Odem, TX).
