The Blooming Grove Lions basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Kemp Yellowjackets to 38 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scurry-Rosser for a 3A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, January 19. Blooming Grove will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 51-41 league loss to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-12.

The Yellowjackets (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Eustace (Eustace, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Eustace was defeated by Palmer (Palmer, TX), 46-42, in a league contest.
