Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Centennial Titans (Frisco, TX), 54-31 in a league bout.

With the victory, Emerson upgrades its record to 13-11 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX) to play the Trail Blazers in a 5A Region II District 10 bout on Friday, January 19. The Trail Blazers come into the bout with a record of 3-21. Lebanon Trail lost 51-30 in their recent league bout against Walnut Grove (Prosper, TX)

Next up, the Titans play the Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, January 19. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 1-25 season record. The Redhawks come into the bout with a 21-7 record after their 53-28 league win over Memorial (Frisco, TX).
