In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) basketball squad nipped the visiting Chester Flyers (Chester, SD), by a margin of 61-55.
The Cossacks (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD). The Quarriers go into the non-league outing with a 1-10 record. In their last outing, Dell Rapids was tipped by West Central (Hartford, SD), 65-51, in a league outing.
The Flyers now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to St. Mary for a B Region 3 outing on Thursday, January 18. Chester will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 58-49 non-league loss to Castlewood (Castlewood, SD). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-6.
