Texas High School Basketball - Nixon-Smiley topped by Cole

The Cole Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Nixon-Smiley Mustangs to 31 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 23-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Randolph for a 3A Region IV District 26 contest on Friday, January 19. Cole will battle a Ro-Hawks team coming off a 36-18 league win over Luling (Luling, TX). The Ro-Hawks record now stands at 16-13.

The Mustangs (6-22) will now prepare for their contest against Great Hearts Northern Oaks (San Antonio, TX). The Griffins come into the 3A Region IV District 26 contest with a 1-7 record.
