Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Columbia Capitals (Columbia, SC), 56-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Fairfield Central upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Griffins host Chester (Chester, SC) to play the Cyclones in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Chester lost 58-30 in their recent league bout against Clinton (Clinton, SC)

Next up, the Capitals play the Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) in a AA Region 4 bout, on Friday, January 19. Columbia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Griffins go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 64-42 non-league win over Chester (Chester, SC).
