California High School Basketball - McFarland thwarts Delano

January 16, 2024: McFarland, CA 93250

The McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA) basketball knocked off the visiting Delano Tigers (Delano, CA), 56-36 in Tuesday's league test.

The Cougars (5-16) will now prepare for their test against Strathmore (Strathmore, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 13-5 record. In their last test, Strathmore notched a victory over Lindsay (Lindsay, CA), 55-32, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they travel to Taft for a South Sequoia test on Thursday, January 18. Delano will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 62-48 league win over Wasco (Wasco, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-12.
