The Whirlwinds now possess a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sudan for a 2A Region I District 4 battle on Friday, January 19. Floydada will battle a Hornets team coming off a 96-32 league win over Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 18-6.

The Owls (15-12) will now prepare for their battle against Ralls (Ralls, TX). The Jackrabbits come into the 2A Region I District 4 battle with a 3-18 record. In their last battle, Ralls was overwhelmed by Olton (Olton, TX), 66-29, in a league battle.
