The Ironwood Eagles basketball team (Glendale, AZ), was overwhelmed 57-26 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Willow Canyon Wildcats (Surprise, AZ)

The Wildcats now possess a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kellis for a 5A Northwest battle on Thursday, January 18. Willow Canyon will confront a Cougars team coming off a 64-37 league win over Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 16-3.

The Eagles (4-13) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Peoria, AZ). The Coyotes come into the 5A Northwest battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Centennial trounced Apollo (Glendale, AZ), 61-40, in a league battle.
