Georgia High School Basketball - Jenkins County knocked off by Montgomery County

January 16, 2024: Mt. Vernon, GA 30445

The Montgomery County Eagles basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles to 41 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 15-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Emanuel County Institute for a A D2 Region 3 contest on Friday, January 19. Montgomery County will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 65-37 non-league loss to Metter (Metter, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-9.

The War Eagles (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Portal (Portal, GA). The Panthers enter the A D2 Region 3 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Portal ran past McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA), 48-36, in a league contest.
