North Pole Patriots (North Pole, AK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lathrop Malemutes (Fairbanks, AK), 45-30 in a league bout.

With the win, North Pole upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Patriots host Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Mt. Edgecumbe won 91-13 in their recent non-league bout against Redington (Wasilla, AK)

Next up, the Malemutes play the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears (Juneau, AK) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Lathrop will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Crimson Bears go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 49-42 non-league win over South Anchorage (Anchorage, AK).
