Michigan High School Basketball - Munising can't hold off Manistique

The Manistique Emeralds basketball team scored 40 points and held the host Munising Mustangs to 39 in the Emeralds non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Emeralds now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ishpeming for a Mid-Peninsula contest on Friday, January 19. Manistique will battle a Hematites team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Hematites record now stands at 7-0.
The Mustangs (8-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rapid River (Rapid River, MI). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, Rapid River was nudged by Carney-Nadeau (Carney, MI), 68-14, in a league contest.
