The Nooksack Valley Pioneers basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Meridian Trojans to 34 in the Pioneers league victory on Tuesday.

The Pioneers now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Baker for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Thursday, January 18. Nooksack Valley will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 54-47 league loss to Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 2-8.

The Trojans (0-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sultan (Sultan, WA). The Turks come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Sultan was routed by Overlake (Redmond, WA), 41-32, in a league contest.
