South Carolina High School Basketball - Midland Valley overwhelmed by South Aiken

The South Aiken Thoroughbreds basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host Midland Valley Mustangs to 36 in the Thoroughbreds league victory on Tuesday.

The Thoroughbreds now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aiken for a AAAA Region 4 contest on Friday, January 19. South Aiken will battle a Fighting Green Hornets team coming off a 56-47 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets record now stands at 10-4.

The Mustangs (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against North Augusta (North Augusta, SC). The Yellow Jackets come into the AAAA Region 4 contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, North Augusta triumphed over Airport (West Columbia, SC), 49-16, in a league contest.
