West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the win, West Cabarrus upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Wolverines host Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a 4A Greater Metro bout on Thursday, January 18. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-1. Lake Norman won 69-42 in their recent league bout against Cox Mill (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a 4A Greater Metro bout, on Thursday, January 18. Mooresville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 64-55 league win over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
