Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), 50-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Mount Pleasant upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Tigers host Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Albemarle won 71-54 in their recent league bout against Union Academy (Monroe, NC)

Next up, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls play the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. South Stanly will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 81-44 league win over West Davidson (Lexington, NC).
