North Carolina High School Basketball - Pungo Christian Academy tops Northeast Academy

Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Northeast Academy Eagles (Lasker, NC), 48-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pungo Christian Academy upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Raiders host Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Lakers come into the bout with a record of 0-6. Mattamuskeet lost 37-5 in their recent league bout against Hobgood Charter (Hobgood, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the Albemarle School Colts (Elizabeth City, NC) in a NCISAA Tarheel bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Northeast Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 51-36 league loss to Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC).
