Rockwood Rockets (Rockwood, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Shade Panthers (Cairnbrook, PA), 57-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rockwood upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Rockets host Claysburg-Kimmel (Claysburg, PA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Claysburg-Kimmel lost 62-57 in their recent non-league bout against Fannett Metal (Willow Hill, PA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Conemaugh Valley Blue Jays (Johnstown, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Shade will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Blue Jays go into the bout with a 0-13 record after their 56-26 league loss to Marion Center (Marion Center, PA).
