Tulelake Honkers (Tulelake, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Surprise Valley Hornets (Cedarville, CA), 46-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Tulelake upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Honkers travel to Butte Valley (Dorris, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Evergreen bout on Thursday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Butte Valley lost 32-24 in their recent league bout against Hayfork (Hayfork, CA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Burney Raiders (Burney, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Surprise Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 42-22 league loss to Redding Christian (Palo Cedro, CA).
