University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA), 3-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers face the Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) in a Northern Athletic challenge, on Thursday, January 18. University Prep will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Anderson (Anderson, CA).

The Miners now have a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Anderson for a Northern Athletic challenge on Friday, January 19. Yreka will face a Cubs team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Lassen (Susanville, CA). The Cubs record now stands at 5-9.
