Oxford Wildcats (Oxford, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Northern Phoenix (Pontiac, MI), 69-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Oxford upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Phoenix play the University Eagles (Ferndale, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
