The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Albany Comets (Albany, WI) and the host Monticello Ponies (Monticello, WI), observed Albany's basketball team overwhelm Monticello by a margin of 54-30.

The Comets (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Pecatonica (Blanchardville, WI). The Vikings come into the Six Rivers - East challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Pecatonica was trounced by Barneveld (Barneveld, WI), 56-51, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Ponies battle the Johnson Creek Bluejays (Johnson Creek, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Monticello will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 69-31 non-league win over Lincoln Academy (Beloit, WI).
