The Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN) basketball were winner over the visiting Laporte Wildcats (Laporte, MN), 49-40 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Drakes now possess a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Nevis for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. Blackduck will play a Tigers team coming off a 78-35 league win over Red Lake (Red Lake, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 11-2.
With the loss, Laporte falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Mishawaka (Mishawaka, IN) to play the Cavemen in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Cavemen go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Mishawaka lost 61-39 in their recent league bout against Plymouth (Plymouth, IN)
