The Huskies (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashley (Ashley, MI). The Bears come into the Mid-State challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Ashley dropped by Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI), 69-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Vandals encounter the Lakeview Wildcats (Lakeview, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Merrill will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 59-36 non-league loss to Marion (Marion, MI).
