The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes (Carson, CA) and the host Hawthorne Math & Science Academy The Aviators (Hawthorne, CA), observed California Academy of Math & Science's basketball team overcome Hawthorne Math & Science Academy by a margin of 46-38.

The Coyotes (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Wildwood (Los Angeles, CA). The Wolves come into the Coastal challenge with a 3-9 record. In their last challenge, Wildwood dropped by Vistamar (El Segundo, CA), 58-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the The Aviators battle the Geffen Academy Bruins (Los Angeles, CA) in a Coastal challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record.
