In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm basketball team scored a big 87-63 triumph over the Elk River Elks.
The Storm (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Apollo (St. Cloud, MN). The Eagles go into the AAA Section 8 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Apollo smashed Willmar (Willmar, MN), 79-57, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Elks confront the Osseo Orioles (Osseo, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Elk River will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Orioles go into the contest with a 6-9 record after their 70-50 non-league loss to Moorhead (Moorhead, MN).
