The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) and the host Kennett Blue Demons (Kennett Square, PA), observed Great Valley's basketball team overcome Kennett by a score of 62-45.

The Patriots (12-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Haverford (Havertown, PA). The Fords come into the non-league challenge with a 3-8 record. In their last challenge, Haverford defeated Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA), 58-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Demons battle the Chichester Eagles (Boothwyn, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Kennett will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 50-41 league win over Interboro (Prospect Park, PA).
