The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR) and the host Griswold Grizzlies (Helix, OR), observed Nixyaawii Community's basketball team overwhelm Griswold by a score of 90-28.
The Eagles (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Echo (Echo, OR). The Cougars come into the 1A Old Oregon challenge with a 11-5 record. In their last challenge, Echo trounced Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR), 63-46, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Grizzlies encounter the Imbler Panthers (Imbler, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Griswold will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 55-44 league loss to Cove (Cove, OR).
