In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Wolfe County Wolves basketball team scored a good 84-70 win over the Letcher County Central Cougars / Lady Cougars.
The Wolves (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY). The Mountaineers come into the non-league contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Oneida Baptist Institute was topped by Knox Central (Barbourville, KY), 87-71, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars / Lady Cougars battle the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs (Hazard, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Letcher County Central will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs come into the contest with a 15-1 record after their 86-46 league win over Buckhorn (Buckhorn, KY).
